Ed 41 Social Media Reflection Assignment

Lifted from Syllabus:

You must choose at least one blog and at least three Twitter feeds to follow during our course. You should bring the insights you glean from these sources (insights into education and education-related policies, insights into research related to policies, and insights into policy-related political/social movement work) into our course discussions, and you should reference specific posts when composing your class blog entries. Midway through the semester you will compose a short (3-4 page), informal paper in which you describe how your chosen social media feeds have influenced your thinking about our course discussions.

We are midway through the term now, and I would like everyone to compose a three to four page post about the the education-related social media feeds you have been following over the course of the semester. Describe what each feed is about and who participates in this feed. Then talk about how this information has influenced your thinking about our discussion, your assignments, and your overall thinking about education policy.

I’d also like you to discuss your experiences with the Twitter Chats. What did you like about them, what you didn’t like about them, and how they might be made better.
